James & Laura Jane Got Married!

Laura was working in Vromans Bookstore last January when James was filming an interview with an author, and they hit it off right from the start. A year later, Laura’s wedding beer was flowing. That’s right — Laura homebrewed 20 gallons of hoppy IPA and Matrimony Ale for all the guests at the lovely Grayson Gardens.

They had a five-minute ceremony (with one of the groomsmen video-conferenced in) and a loooooooong party. Dancing, slideshow, speeches, the whole nine yards. And did I mention the BBQ truck? Yes, food was provided by Barbie’s Q: A Rollin’ BBQ Joint. Succulent pork, beef, and chicken accompanied by coleslaw, beans, and sauteed potatoes. Every single table sported their own cake (and they were even nice enough to make me a gluten-free one!)

It was hard to take pictures of this beautiful couple when they weren’t smiling. They just have that much joy bottled up. And don’t they look just perfect for each other?

And thanks to my wonderful second shooter, Karen ReVelle!

Laura and James: Enjoy your treehouse honeymoon!

And if there isn’t enough photos for you, I also put together a slideshow to highlight the whole day! Enjoy!
