Sweet Love: Lisa & Randy

Lisa has been wanting to do a family portrait session for a long time now and I am so excited that she took advantage of my mini portrait special. The day was predicted to be rainy, but God gave us clouds that acted as a giant soft-box, making perfect, glowing light. We headed down to the streets of Uptown Whittier and had a little fun with my camera.

If you can’t tell from his muscular physique, Randy is an all-around handy guy. Not only is he super nifty at building things like cabinets, he’s also so strong he can also nearly heave his wife into the air (see picture below!)

Photographing married couples is one of my favorite things to photograph. So often us married folk get awesome wedding photos, but never get professional photos taken after that. So it’s always fun to see them rekindle their love in front of the lens.

Don’t they have the most inviting smiles?!
Lisa & Randy have been married for only 7 years and they still flirt like they are dating. Their love literally made me a little woozy. Randy is super suave and I can totally see why Lisa fell in love with him. I can just hear Lisa’s adorable laugh in this photo. And can you just see how much fun Randy is having?Thank you for letting me into your lives today. I love that you are not just clients, you are friends!

I also made this a short animation video of these two love birds. Enjoy!

They are sweet. I think I met this lady at the Shakespeare Festival last year. She was so nice.

We just LOVED this mini photo session…it was so much fun! Amber your work is just simply amazing! You capture the essence of the people you photograph in a very special way. I’ve not seen this with other photographers. Loved that you had us tell our “love story” and that you use this as a foundation for your sessions. Can’t wait to see them all! Love you, Lisa and Randy
