1. If you won the lottery, how would you spend it?

If I won the lottery right now, I would pay off my house and decorate the heck out it. My favorite furniture store is Room & Board, so I would rent a U-haul and load that puppy up with beautiful mid-century inspired furniture. I would also pay off my parents house so my mom could finally retire. I would give a bunch of it away to different organizations my church supports. And then I would buy a plane ticket to some tropical destination and go scuba diving for a week.

2. What kind of soap do you use?

I love Dr. Bonner’s soap. I use it everyday as hand & body soap, but also use it to wipe down counters and wash my veggies. It really is an all purpose soap that does EVERY job. And it smells absolutely delightful and is almost all organic. I get a big bottle and it seriously lasts forever.

3. What movie can you watch over and over and never get tired of?

I have seen Lost Boys more times than I can count. I became obsessed with it when I was in high school and know almost every line by heart. I also had an obsession with Jason London, who had a strange resemblance to Jim Morrison. And this was this was the first dvd I ever owned.

4. What CD can you listen to over and over?

I have thousands of songs in my iTunes library, but the one cd I never get sick of and could listen to forever and ever would have to be U2’s Joshua Tree. When I was a teen-ager, I would lay in bed and stare up at my ceiling and try to figure out the allegorical meaning behind their songs. And after seeing them in concert a few times now, I just imagine Bono and the guys rocking it out as they sing the sweet melodies of “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.”

5. Have you ever won anything?

I actually have been very fortunate to have pretty good luck. The best thing I have won for sure was U2 tickets to the opening night of their 2006 Vertigo tour. Star 98.7 was giving away tickets for the biggest loser. I convinced them that I was a loser because of all the terrible dates I had been on while living in L.A. I told them a story of how a friend of mine and I met these cute boys while in line for a show at Spaceland. They told us they were engineers and we were naturally impressed that these smart dudes were into good music. The next week when we went on a double date with them, we found out they were the train engineers at for the little kid train at Griffith Park. Ha!

6. What was the most surprising thing about college?

One of the most surprising things about college was how good the food was. Don’t get me wrong, my mom is an excellent cook, but when I went to UCLA, I felt like I was going out to dinner every night. It was awesome. I also gained 15 pounds like everyone else, but I really enjoyed the extra helping of frozen yogurt.

7. What are you planning on planting in your garden this spring?

I am so excited to plant a little garden; you have no idea! In our two raised garden beds I am going to plant 6 tomato plants, of different varietals. I want to plant lots of herbs, so I can just go out into my garden and pick out whatever I need for cooking. For my first year of gardening I wanted to pick some fool proof veggies that are supposedly easy to grow, like green beans and squash. I also want to grow bell peppers, because organic ones are super expensive. And since Trader Joes doesn’t carry hot peppers and kale, I think it would be fun to grow these too. Do you have any suggestions as to what I should grow?

8. What is my middle name?

My middle name is Sarah.

9. Do you watch any interior design TV shows – if so, what is your favorite?

I am currently obsessed with Secrets from a Stylist. I LOVE this show! I am actually applying for our home to be considered for a little decor styling. I really like Emily Henderson’s style and I think she can make our home look AMAZING. You have got to check out her show!

10. What do you do after you get home from work?

These days I typically have a smoothie made with homemade kefir mixed with fruit. Or chips and salsa. Then I head to the gym for a swim work out or to the Fullerton Loop for a run (more walking really). Maybe a photo shoot during golden hour. Cook dinner or eat whatever loveliness my hubby made. Hang out with friends. Watch an episode of X-files. And go to bed.
