I met Kellie when I began volunteering on the Welcome Team at Rock Harbor Fullerton. She was my favorite volunteer. I always thought she was the cutest girl, with her well-put together outfits and the gorgeous hair I wish I had. From the moment I met her, I wanted to take her picture.
I really got to know her when she joined our Life Group about six months ago. I became a part of her story and she of mine. As a community we have watched her fall in love with a boy up North. We encouraged her to take a risk to quit her job. We covered her in prayer as she decided to take an even bigger risk and move up North. And we rejoiced as she just got word that she has not only a man who loves her awaiting her arrival, but an awesome new job to boot. God is the author of this exciting story.
Kellie, I am going to miss you and all that you bring to our community. You have taught me that taking great risks can bring great rewards and I thank you for that. I hope you enjoy these lovely photos of you as you remember the hills of Southern California. I will miss you!
And then I took her up to one of my favorite spots. Rumor has it, this location used to be a missile launching base in the Cold War. Now it’s a place taggers go to make art alongside big bulls that are very territorial. We didn’t last too long at this location, as we got chased out by the bulls. Kellie, you are so gorgeous! Your fun dress from Urban Outfitters, works so well with the colorful background. I asked Kellie to remember how it good it felt to no longer work in a job she didn’t love. With the wind in her face, she felt truly free. On our drive home, we saw the bones of a cool structure juxtaposed alongside a hillside of wildflowers. We had to stop and take some pictures.
There was so many incredible photos to choose from, that I just had to make a slideshow. And for all the Seniors out there checking this out, this slideshow will give you a good idea of how one of my Senior Portrait sessions look. Enjoy!

Amber! You did a fantastic job! They are beautiful photos! They will be a wonderful memory for me of those rolling OC hills before I head up North.
My favorite part of the photos is how you captured everything; the scenery, the details and the emotions. I love the picture when I am sitting in the window frame and laughing. I also think the “freedom” pictures are beautiful and truly captured the emotion that I am feeling at this stage in life.
Thank you for making it such a glorious afternoon- you are so fun and easy to work with and you made me feel sooo beautiful. Thank you with all my heart!
Conocí a Kellie en Chile, es una linda persona, muy dedicada a su trabajo, tengo los mejores recuerdos de ella.
Las fotografías están espectaculares, ella siempre viste muy bien, algo inusual en el común de la gente.

We love our Kelly! We went to high school together and seem to run into each other quite randomly, but we’re proud of all that she does and will do. Looks like such a fun bright place.
