Last month, my dear friend Treacy Mize and her husband came down from Sacramento to spend the weekend with us. I met Treacy a couple of years ago at a photography workshop and we have been good friends ever since. So I was super excited when we got to spend the day taking pics of me and my future boys.

While our husbands slept, Treacy and I woke up super early on a sunday morning, so we could get some good light. One of my favorite locations that I love to take my clients to just happens to be overflowing with yellow and purple wildflowers during the spring, so I knew we had to start our day here.

I always wished I would be prego in the spring, because everything is green and lush. 

Treacy made me feel so beautiful. I have photographed tons of maternity sessions myself, but it really wasn’t until now that I fully understood how bloated and huge pregnant woman feel. And then putting yourself in front of the camera…oh my!John and I tried getting pregnant for years, so these little boys are a huge answer to prayer. Praise be to God that I got pregnant with not just one, but two blessings!After church we had fun taking all sorts of pics in the house as we got ready to head down to the beach. Treacy caught this awesome moment.
John and I love Laguna and have spent many summer days there, so we knew we wanted to have some photos here. Plus we had to show off our beautiful So Cal beaches to our Sacramento friends. Now looking back at these pics, I can’t believe I wore a bathing suit for my maternity pics! But I really wanted to show off my belly!

Even though we took these pictures last month, I am so much bigger now, which I think is hilarious. Right now, at 6 1/2 months, I measure at nearly full term, so I am going to be HUGE in 11 weeks when it’s time to deliver. But I don’t think anyone will want to see me in a bathing suit at that point. Ha!

I will treasure these pictures forever. They point towards a miracle that God did in our lives and that prayers are answered. And thanks again to Treacy for capturing this special time in our lives. These photos honor God and what He has done.
