You all know that I love to photograph my Seniors, but every now and then I like to mix it up when I get the opportunity to do a Foxy at 50 session. To see other Foxy at 40 sessions, check out Grace & Kasey.
I LOVE photographing older women for a plethora of reasons. When you are young, you don’t know how beautiful you are. When you’re older, you have confidence and have learned to love yourself. When you are post-partum, like myself, you most likely don’t like your new mommy figure and feel insecure like a teen ager all over again. And when you are in your 50’s you hopefully have accepted yourself and found a deeper beauty within and that shines forth, making your already beautiful self even that much more beautiful. Us women are so cruel to ourselves; that inner voice that tells us that we are not beautiful. When I get the opportunity to show other women that they are truly stunning, I love it. It’s quite an addiction really. I think women of all ages, at all stages should have professional portraits done of themselves to give us a good dose of self-confidence and allow something to yell louder than the inner demons that try to tell us that we are not enough. Anyhow, here are some gorgeous photos of my friend Lisa.
As you can see Lisa has a gorgeous smile. She is has a super fun personality and a heart that is filled with laughter. Her joy just radiates. She made it easy to photograph her, as she loved smiling for the camera.
Lisa is a former client from five years ago, when I just started out in my photography biz. I photographed her and her husband Randy. We had a blast together, capturing their love. Fast forward five year later and Lisa wanted to update her head shots and naturally thought of me. We had so much fun together.
Lisa, you are a Fox! You are truly beautiful and my goodness, you are in awesome shape and have beautiful skin. What are your secrets?
Lisa shared on her Facebook page, “Very excited to share that I recently did a “Foxy at Fifty” photo shoot with Amber Fox Photo and I could not be more pleased with how my photos turned out! Amber is an amazingly gifted photographer, very professional and wonderful to work with. Her skills behind the lens and her adorable personality make her a joy to spend time with. She has a God given talent as a photographer and she’s able to make you feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. It was a real blessing for me to able to do this photo shoot with her. The last time I had professional images done, I also worked with Amber Fox but it was 5 years ago, so it was time for a re-fresh! If you are local and thinking about getting some head shots for work or personal use you have to visit Amber! She’s amazing!” Wow, thanks for the awesome testimonial Lisa!
I am so excited to introduce you all to Alex, a stunningly beautiful Foxy Senior Model. I worked with Alex’s sister Kendall a couple years ago, so it was super fun to bring her on my Foxy Model team! She is a jewel of a young woman. As a Junior at Sonora High School, I get to photograph Alex all throughout the rest of her Junior and Senior year. Yay!
Alex is wicked smart. She is one of those girls that is going to get a full ride to college I am sure. She has big dreams of being an engineer and I just know any school she applies to next year is going to be super impressed by her. Alex is the full package…smart, kind and beautiful.
Alex’s favorite drink is light blue gatorade, she loves Zour candies, and she loves to spend her time surfing Youtube or playing Trivia Crack on her phone.
Alex has a photographic memory of sorts, so she daydreams about her days spending time on the Croatian coast.
This beautiful blond loves to read books like Son of Neptune, listen to the Fall out Boys, and go hiking all around Orange County.
She is super excited to graduate from high school, but still has another year left. Oh goodness, she already has senioritis. Ha!
Alex, I am so honored and excited to be able to get to know you and be able to photograph you throughout this year. You are so much fun!
Say hello to another one of my gorgeous Foxy Senior Models, Victoria. This beautiful young woman is an about to be Senior at Troy High School. And I am so excited that she is a part of my Foxy Model Team. What is a Foxy Model you ask? Well, a Foxy Model represents Amber Fox Photographer throughout a young woman’s Junior and Senior Year. Foxy Models like Victoria, get to do fun events throughout the year like model shoots and participate in college information nights. While bonding with girls from all over Orange County, they get to help spread the word about how much fun it is to work with me. So on to Victoria…
Victoria is a lover of photography, as she is super involved with the Troy Yearbook Staff, loves to draw and do art. Her favorite place in the world is Disneyland and she is obsessed with singing.
Three things that Victoria can’t live without are her phone, yummy food and her family. I think I am equally addicted to all those things too!
Victoria’s favorite thing in her closet is her black dresses, so I was so excited when she put on a black dress with lace! She looked gorgeous! Couldn’t you agree?!
A fun fact about Victoria is that she is a mixture of Filipino, Chinese and Korean. She wants to be an architect when she grows up and the last good book she read was Silence of the Lambs.
Her friends would describe her as funny, crazy and spontaneous. I saw a lot of that in her model shoot, because she was able to deliver so many different expressions.
Victoria loves Amber Fox Photographer, because she says, “the photos are flawless.” Love you too Victoria!
I wanted to welcome another beautiful Foxy Senior Model…Nicole Fraga of Sonora High School. Nicole is über talented and GORGEOUS! With big dreams of wanting to attend Harvard one day, like her older brother, I am honored that this busy teen would be a part of my Foxy Model Program.
When I first met Nicole, I was struck by her confidence and how she carried herself. She comes from a family that loves her and that has fully supported her through her rigorous schooling in the International Baccalaureate program at Sonora High School, playing the saxophone and through her hours of Volleyball & Track practice.
As a self-proclaimed spaz, Nicole loves Almond Joys, strawberry lemonade and Hawaii. I too love all those things!!!
Like most high schoolers, Nicole loves Maroon Five, Taylor Swift and her converse.
With the big goal of being a psychiatrist for people with special needs, I can totally see Nicole being amazing at this. She is so outgoing and sweet, that I am sure she can make anyone feel comfortable with her.
Nicole you are gorgeous, truly a stunning young woman. I so enjoyed photographing you and can’t wait to see you in front of my camera again.
If you haven’t booked your Senior Portraits yet, now is the perfect time to do so. Graduation is around the corner and you will surely regret if the only professional photo you have of yourself is your yearbook picture. As I always tell my photography students, “Don’t be lazy, be photo crazy!”
