Rock that Dress

I remember when I first wore heels and tried to walk. It was hard. I stumbled all over the place and thought for sure I was going to twist my ankle. I also remember the first time I wore a dress; it was to my senior prom in 1996. The dress went down to my ankles, it was a deep black, and had little spaghetti straps. It was plain & simple, so I dressed it up with some fancy pearls. I felt beautiful and I felt like a woman. Prom wasn’t only a dance for me, it was a symbol of finishing my senior year and celebrating with all my friends at one BIG party.

Fast forward fourteen years later, prom is still a BIG deal. Big limos, big dresses, big extravagant meals, and big groups. Somewhere between all the craziness, four kids who looked their best, met me in the park for some fun pictures. I hope you guys created some wonderful memories at the American Way Cultural Center and thank you for giving me the honor of capturing your beauty on your big day!
