Vacation: San Francisco with the Girls

One of the things I love most about summer is the time it allows me to just take off and have some fun. I normally travel with my husband, but since he is on a week long writing retreat in Oregon, I thought it was only fair that I get to go on a trip with my girl friends. Keeping it some what local, we road tripped it up to San Francisco.

San Francisco was freezing in comparison to Los Angeles, with a whopping high of 60 degrees in July! I left our hotel wearing a jacket, scarf and a beanie. But my body warmed up as we walked the streets of the big city and did a little spontaneous photo shoot of each other. We started out day in Union Square, then did the tourist thing at Fisherman’s Wharf, then walked up to the Ferry Building for the most expensive fish tacos of my life, then to Haight & Ashbury for some shopping and finished the night with honey margaritas at our hotel bar.

Enjoy the pics of me and the girls modeling on the streets of San Fran, along with some of my favorite random shots from our journey. And let me know if you prefer the scrolling display of photos, or my standard light box style that I have had in all my previous posts. Thanks!

looks like SUCH a fun time, I’m envious (love frisco!) Glad you were able to get away again. And i *personally* prefer the lightbox-style, but that’s just me. 😉

“The coldest winter I ever saw was the summer I spent in San Francisco.” — Mark Twain

I adore that quote 🙂 Nick and I spent a few days in July ’08 in San Fran and I know EXACTLY what you’re talking about with it being so chilly!!!
