I was thrilled when Jess asked if I could photograph her for her new business. Jess just started a portrait photography business, Blackbird Portraits, not too long ago and was wanting a fun and fresh look for her head shots. So we drove around the streets of Whittier, looking for cool back drops, changed in the car and in a “drive by shooting” sort of way, quickly took some fun shots.

Jess is one of those girls that you just want to hang out with all the time. She is fun, creative and great at everything she does. Like myself, she teaches photography too, so that is a double plus in my book. Her dream is to be a wedding photographer, but at this point, she does it all, from prego photos to capturing someone’s wedding day.
