The Fox Pad

So lots of you have been asking when I was going to post photos of our new house in Fullerton. We just celebrated our four month anniversary in our darling home. We still have lots still do, but we are feeling very settled. And yes, I LOVE being a home owner. I can’t believe how much work goes into owning a home, from gardening to basic home maintenance, but I have loved seeing John become Mr. Fix it and getting my own hands dirty.

One of the things I love about our home is the tree lined street it’s on. Our neighborhood is absolutely adorable and we have the best neighbors I could have ever asked for. Everyone is super friendly and the houses that surround our are totally adorable. And during Halloween, apparently our street has close to a 1000 tricker-treaters that come asking for candy. Even the former owners warned us to get ready early. I am so excited!

And this is the front view of the house. We LOVE the big front porch and Craftsman style feel of the place. And did you see the cute rocking chairs I scored at local thrift stores and totally spiffed up? Oh yeah!undefinedAnd do you remember my post on which photos to hang? Oy, it was so hard to choose which pictures we wanted to put up and in what arrangement! But after many re-arrangements of butcher paper taped up on the wall, together John and I created what we think is the perfect arrangement of some of our favorite travel photos that I have taken on our journeys around the world. undefinedAnd for those of you who remember the post about my search for the perfect couch, we finally ended up buying the couch we wanted from the very beginning. We had ordered a couch from Macy’s, but it was taking forever and a half to get here and we couldn’t stand not having any where to sit anymore. So we went to our ultimate favorite furniture store, City Life Home Furnishings in Brea, and found the couch we fell in love with when we first started looking for a couch and it was on sale as a floor model! Woo hoo! So we bought it that day and later that evening we were sitting on a gorgeous new couch.undefined
