Santa Monica Wedding: Kate & Ryan Moon

It was a beautiful summer day in Santa Monica when Kate & Ryan got married. They spent the day with good friends and rejoiced with family from all over the country while celebrating their amazing love. The Victorian was the perfect venue for this super laid back couple who just oozed vintage style.

I seriously want these shoes. Aren’t they the most adorable shoes you have ever seen?

I loved watching Kate do her makeup. She reminded me so much of Audry Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany’sRyan and his boys got ready downstairs in the speakeasy. My best friend/second shooter, Jessica from Blackbird Portraits, got this cool shot of Ryan’s cufflinks on an old typewriter. Here Ryan is super excited to see his beautiful bride. Oh, I love the first look!

Those chandeliers were so pretty, they just screamed for a photo with our gorgeous couple!
We then took it outside for some fun shots around the venue. I think the dad was more nervous than Kate to walk down the aisle. Too cute.
After the ceremony, we took advantage of the pretty light and got arty. Ryan, you are so handsome. Kate is one lucky girl!Work it girl! So this gorgeous veil that Kate has on, has been worn by four generations of women in her family. So beautiful.

Here you can see Kate’s hands in the middle, with her mom and grandmother’s hands on top…three of the four generations to wear the veil.

And then we headed back to the reception and Kate made some alterations to her dress. Short and cute, which showed off her awesome legs and those darling shoes.

Kate & Ryan, thanks for giving me the privilege of capturing your day. Jessica & I had a blast! I pray for many blessings over your marriage. May it be sweet.

And here is a slideshow of the whole day. Enjoy!

Amber, these photographs are a gift to our entire family. They are stunningly beautiful, and a fittingly gorgeous, warm and timeless capture of an evening none of us will forget. Thank you, and thank you Jess, for giving us all these incredible images. I wish we could do that whole night again – and short of that, will watch the slideshow over and over again to savor the memory.
