Family portraits are so vitally important. As a mommy myself, I know I don’t get nearly enough pictures of my darling boys, let alone ones with me in the shot. A couple times a year, it’s necessary to hire a professional to document our changing and ever-growing families. 20 years from now, I want to look back and remember how cute my boys are and how little they once were. Don’t you want that for your family as well?
I love this family! I have worked alongside Sam for the past 12 years as a fellow art teacher and during that time, I have watched his family grow and then recently grow some more. I also love his wife Laura! I think if we both had more time and our lives were not so crazy we would be best friends. She is that cool!
This family is also super talented. Not only is Laura is super mom, but she also leads worship at Whitter Area Christian Church. Her voice is AH-mazing! Her kiddos are so blessed that they have her voice to listen to as she sings sweet lullabies. And then their daddy, also plays guitar and a handful of other instruments in addition to being incredibly talented in all things art. Those kids are destined to be someone super artistic!
Laura just had the darling Greta. She is only 3 months old and I nearly fell over when Laura told me she was already sleeping through the night. Girl, you are blessed!I thought it would be fun to have a musically inspired shoot, since everyone in the family is so musically talented. Sam even owns a recording studio, so maybe the music we all made could be considered to make a record. Ha!
Keller you are so handsome, especially playing your daddy’s ukulele. And I can just imagine all the trouble these boys get into. Isn’t Reed’s face just darling and mischievous all at the same time? The picture perfect family. How beautiful are these folks? Reed, you are so dang cute!
And seriously Keller, those eyes! Sweet little girl Greta is, absolutely beautiful!
Watching how much fun Keller and Reed are, makes me so excited about how much fun my boys are going to be! I told the boys to pose like mommy and they totally hammed it up! We had to get some shots of just the fabulous musicians. And celebrate how AH-mazing Laura looks 3 months postpartum. Maybe these pics can be used as some cover art for Laura’s next cd? Check out some of her (Laura Scott) current records. Her In Your Light cd is incredible! Can you imagine how awesome this family must sound around a campfire?! Sam you look great!
Thanks for giving me the honor of capturing your sweet family. You guys are so blessed and I can just imagine how filled with love your home must be. So fun this shoot was!
[…] I love photographing Seniors, but I also love documenting the lives of families. As a mommy myself, I know that my boys are only going to be as small as they are for only a fraction of time and I want a photograph of every stage. Check out this great testimonial of recent session with the Knaak family. […]
