I was so excited when DeAna, wanted to set up a portrait shoot of her oldest son David who is graduating from high school this year. When she discussed it with her husband, he reminded her that they didn’t have any updated photos of the entire family, so instead of a typical senior session, we did a family portrait shoot with lots of attention to getting individual shots of everyone, particularly the graduate and some updated fun shots of mom & dad. Vern and DeAna hadn’t had professional photos taken of them since their wedding and their kids are now in high school…so it was time folks!

Isn’t this family gorgeous?! They have been good friends of John and I for years, so it was a real treat to capture this family with my lens. They recently moved to Canada, so it was even more fun that they got do their family portraits in the Orange County sunshine. It was a like a breath of fresh air. I really wish for selfish reasons that they hadn’t moved, because they are some of the best parents I have ever come across. John and I have so much to learn from them! Nevertheless, I know they will be a part of our lives for years to come and I am sure there is a trip to Canada in our near future. Love you guys!
