Mini Sessions are so much fun! This is the Whetstone Family and I have been friends with them for years and years, so it was awesome to take their family portraits in my favorite location in Fullerton. Mini sessions are different than a normal session, in that it’s only 30 minutes and we bust a move with getting key shots, with a Christmas card in mind. This was this family’s first family portrait session. It was an honor to capture their family pictures.

The Whetstones are some of my favorite people. Christine and I have worked together as teachers at La Serna for over 10 years. She is a jewel of a woman and seriously one of the hardest workers I know. Talk about an over achiever! And her husband Jeff, is a photographer and photo teacher, just like me. Jeff teaches at another school in our district and he has become my teaching buddy, which is awesome, because I have always been the only photo teacher in our whole district. So now I have someone to bounce ideas off of.

Babies really do change everything. Christine and Jeff are huge travelers and have traversed most of the globe. I was so impressed that they went on a one week vacation with their little babe. My husband and I are in awe of these sorts of people.

One of my favorite things about watching friends grow in their families, is how beautiful it is to see them become a parent. Parenting is definitely the hardest thing I have ever done, so I love to help my friends who are new parents walk the path of parenthood. We then headed to another location at this beautiful OC park. It feels so Fall in this shot.
