Say hello to Julie Hong, a Senior at Troy High School, graduating class of 2016! I loved photographing this senior portrait session all over the streets of Fullerton, especially since Julie is so sweet and has amazing style. As an Orange County Senior Photographer, I get to meet so many wonderful young women from all the local high schools, and Julie is definitely one of the sweetest.
We started Julie’s session at Dripp Coffee Bar, so this starting spot was perfect for this Troy High School Senior, since it’s a popular study spot. This awesome urban backdrop was a perfect match to Julie’s darling black dress. Adjacent to Dripp, is a magnificent wall of bougainvillea, and if you have been following me for awhile you know that I can’t resist capturing some beautiful senior pictures in front of flowers.
With every senior portrait session, my girls get to have multiple outfit changes. Julie had brought tons of clothes, which makes my job so much more fun. More clothes, often equates to more pictures, which means more creative expression for me. Since she brought a sweet pink dress, I knew the perfect urban backdrop on the other side of Fullerton that would be perfect for her second location. And my favorite part of our shoot, was during this time, when a herd of bikers on Harleys came roaring down the alley and scared all of us to death. It was quite comical really, but that is how memories are made.
Julie also had requested that I make her a custom flower crown, so I was so excited to make her something beautiful that was a mixture of her favorite colors. And since it’s mustard flower heaven right now, we headed over the Fullerton trails and got some magnificent senior pictures amongst a field of flowers. This part of Julie’s senior portraits, is my favorite.
Chasing the light, we headed to Vantage Point and got some gorgeous shots of the hills with Julie looking absolutely darling. It’s hard to believe that those hills are in So Cal and not in Ireland.
Thanks for giving me the honor of working with you Julie. You are a remarkable young woman! I hope you get into the college of your dreams and that your future is blessed.
