I love me some gorgeous Prom Photos! Graduation photos are a huge part of the senior experience, but something that every girl really looks forward to is prom! Prom is a big deal in a young girl’s life and their prom photos should highlight their special day. Since prom is tantamount to most high school seniors, it’s imperative that they have quality photos to remember the special day. Girls will spend hours online searching for the perfect dress and drive to a variety of small boutiques to find a super original dress, or trek to downtown LA and try to find a bargain. The dress says it all. But lots of thought and time go into the all the necessary accessories, hair and makeup too. It’s essentially the biggest day of dress up for a both girls and guys that they will likely ever have before their own wedding day. So it’s a must to have freaking awesome prom photos to remember the day.
I was super excited to photograph Sonora’s 2016 Prom. It was a crazy whirlwind of photo taking madness. I was supposed to do all these photos outside, but it was raining on and off, so I had to set up inside. Praise God for my easy and portable backdrop that I brought, along with my awesome ice lights. I tried to take a head shot of each person and at least one couple shot, so sorry if I missed a couple kids. There was a line out the door and it was fast and furious. I did all these shots in less than 2 hours! Whew.
I hope you all had an amazing time at prom and remember it for years to come. I still remember my prom, back in 1996 and I remember how terrible my photos came out. We all met up at my friend Beth’s house and took pictures. The shadows from the gorgeous tree above made me look like I was going into the army. It was unfortunate, because I don’t have any good pictures from one of my favorite high school memories. So it was an honor to create stunning and glamorous prom photos of some of Sonora’s best. Frame these bad boys everyone…your’e GORGEOUS !
And a special thanks to Marissa’s parents for letting me fill up your living room with my backdrops and having me take some awesome prom photos of your daughter and all her friends. Also, a huge hug to Nicole, Emily and Pamela, who are all my Foxy Senior Models. I loved seeing you all dressed up and looking gorgeous on your big day. It’s so fun to really be a part of your life and capture the big moments.
