I was overjoyed when Blake & Cristy thought of me to do their maternity photo session. I photographed this darling couple way back in 2010 when I did their senior portraits years ago. They had just started dating and thought it would be fun to do a senior portrait session together. As many high school sweet hearts do, they got married and are now they are expecting their first little girl. I wonder how many La Serna High School sweet hearts are out there that ended up tying the knot? They even have some of their photos from their senior portrait session up in their house. So cute!

Cristy also graduated from University of California Irvine a couple weeks ago, so this was also a senior portrait session too! How much fun is that?! So we got lots and lots of great pictures of Cristy, to celebrate the next chapter in her life that she is about to start. 

We did their whole maternity photo session along the Fullerton Loop, as it’s one of my favorite places to take photos. There is so much green and a plethora of wild flowers, so it’s the perfect backdrop to create beautiful maternity photos. I just loved everything about this shoot! And we chose our color scheme of soft neutral colors, with a lot of pastel purples, because a lot these images will eventually go in their daughter’s room, which is a color scheme of grey and purple. I can’t wait to see their big canvas up they ordered on the wall in her room!
