I love photographing High School seniors in Yorba Linda!

There are so many beautiful spots all over the city. Yorba Linda Regional park is a perfect place to show seniors how beautiful they are. With a little bit of background of the trees and greenery, every student gets an education in their inner and outer beauty.

I’ve also taken clients to Fullerton, where there are some gorgeous locations, and in some places near the Orange circle, and every once in a while I’ll take them to some secret spots in Carbon Canyon (shhhh. Don’t tell anyone). Wherever we go, you should know that you are going to look fantastic in these photos.

Students from all over the city have trusted me with their portraits.

I love high school seniors from all these schools, and it’s so wonderful to photograph them right before their graduation. You are about to embark on a wonderful journey, post high school — so now is your time to celebrate your last and final year!

What’s my favorite thing about photographing high school seniors?

Why, the challenge, of course!

The process every senior goes through is quite special. First, we schedule a date that works for you.

Next, I set up a hair and makeup appointment. This is not just any appointment. This is at the professional salon Salon Lujon where you will be pampered and properly done up well. The makeup is done by one of my two professional makeup stylists, and your hair will perfectly manicured by the best of the best.

When they are finished, you will feel like a supermodel.

Don’t be fooled by the high school yearbook photographers. They prop you in front of a boring backdrop and take a couple of snapshots. You could probably do a better job on your smartphone.

What I do for my clients is completely different.

What I do is give you a magical experience.

It’s not just the fancy pampering at the elaborate salon. After that, we will spend several hours together laughing, playing, and posing.

I’ll take you to several different locations, usually 3 – 5 locations depending on the light and how much time we have. I can do more urban looking portraits if you’d like, or we could focus more on nature photos, if you’re an outdoorsy person.

I teach you how to look your best.

There are so many tricks and techniques that professional models use to look skinny, to slim down their waist, to put their best side forward, and I will teach you all these things.

But remember: this whole time we’re just having fun. You can bring a friend along if you like (many clients do), and so you’re laughing with your friend. Some clients like to bring their Mom, or a sister. Bring whoever you want! It’ll be a party!

Oh, and I almost forgot: you always get a few outfit changes. We wouldn’t want the whole shoot in a single outfit, would we? That’d be boring.

I love it when clients bring 5 – 10 outfits and they can do a few changes so we get different kinds of looks. Sweet and nice for the parents, a little sexier for the boyfriend, brash and brave for the friends. I want you to see all sides of your personality in these photos. After all, this shoot is really all about you.

The goal of senior portraits is to remember your wonderful senior year. So you’ll have these pictures forever, and be able to treasure them forever. Someday you’re actually going to show these to your kids, and they’re going to ooh and aah over them, and say you looked so young and beautiful. Because you are so young and beautiful and awesome, and you want to capture that right now.
