What to Expect

Amber Fox Photographer is based out of the city of Fullerton, which is located in North Orange County, California. I specialize in hip & happy Senior Portraits of fabulous high school Seniors. Amber Fox Photographer offers a full Senior Portrait Experience, by offering you professional hair & makeup styling, a 1-2 hour photo shoot and tons of personal attention. 

It’s also important to know that Amber Fox has also been a photography teacher for 17 years to high school Seniors at La Serna High School, so Amber really knows this age group, giving both the Senior and parents confidence that you are in safe hands.

Before Your Shoot

  • To lock in your date for your Senior Portrait shoot, you will need to contact Amber by phone at 310-463-8177 or by email at havefun@amberfoxphoto.com. Once we nail down a date, I will send you an online Welcome Packet, that will help you get ready for the shoot.   • I will send you a secret link to my Client Lounge, which is filled with all sorts of things to get you ready for the big day. You will find links to a Senior Look Book, a What to Wear Guide, a Model Release (so I can post your pretty pics to Instagram) and a Portrait Agreement.

  • Fill out the fun Senior Portrait Questionnaire to help me learn more about you, so we can decide on the style of your shoot and location. The questions include ones like, are you an urban sort of girl? Or do you envision standing in a field of flowers?

  • What to Wear is always the most asked question before our senior’s shoot. I provide a lengthy 70 page what to wear guide to help you choose the perfect and most flattering outfits. With that, we suggest bringing 4-5 different outfits, lots of accessories, jackets, a dressy outfit, something more casual and an outfit you feel absolutely gorgeous in. I will help you choose the best outfits for our locations. 

  • For an additional fee of $100, you can have your get professional hair and makeup styling at the fabulous Salon Lujon. My stylists will make you look and feel beautiful, giving you the confidence to be photographed. My stylists have years of experience and know how to not apply too much makeup so you no longer look like yourself, but enough to be camera ready and looking gorgeous.

  • Make sure your nails and toes are looking adorable. We suggest neutral colors or a French tip, so your nails don’t distract from your gorgeous face.

During Your Shoot

  • I will start off the shoot with a posing lesson and give you tips on how to stand, where to put your hands and essentially how you can look your best. Throughout the entire shoot, I am leading you through a series of poses that will allow you look good, be at ease and be completely natural in front of the camera. I know you are nervous, so I do everything I can to make you relax and trust me.
  • Your mom or dad have to accompany you on the shoot. Since you are a minor, I feel more comfortable with a parent being with us on the shoot. Plus the whole experience is really exciting and we want your parents to be a part of that. It’s fun for them to see you shine.
  • We have FUN! The whole photo shoot I am telling you how gorgeous you are and making you laugh, so after two hours of compliments and giggling, you walk away feeling beautiful and wanting to do it all over again.
  • All of our shoot locations are typically in nature or in an urban setting, so there is no bathroom available for outfit changes. Come prepared to change in your car.
  • It typically takes me about a week to retouch and prepare your images. I will set up an ordering session at your house, where you will get to see all the pretty products and most importantly your GORGEOUS photos. I like to think of this night like Christmas...it's often everyone's favorite part of the Senior Portrait experience. 

After your shoot

  • Shortly after the shoot, we will post a Sneak Peek of one of my favorite photos or a behind the scenes shot.

  • I love to give my clients anywhere from 40-50 photos that are edited, retouched and made perfect. At your ordering session, you will select which photos you want for your album, and depending on what collection you buy, you will have access to all your digital files. 

  • I will blog your gorgeous session and post a bunch of your favorite images to Instagram.

  • Write a fabulous testimonial so I can share your wonderful experience on my website.
