I was too cool to go to school dances for most of my high school years, but since it was my senior year, I figured I HAD to go to prom. I went with my best guy friend who I had the biggest crush on. To celebrate the big day, I bought a super expensive dress (that I still have), got my hair & make-up done and I even wore pearls. I looked GOOD!
All my girl friends rented a limo, so we could go in style. There were twenty of us, all my best friends and their boys. We met at my best girl friends house, who by the way, is still my best friend. Our parents took pictures under a weeping willow tree, which we thought would be a nice back drop. As it turned out, we looked like we were going into battle, with camo shadows all over our faces. Remember, this was back in the day of film days, so they had no idea that we would be covered in shadows.
You probably remember those fun wallets with the traditional pose you used to exchange with all your friends, right? Well, even that picture turned terribly. We stood in line for what feels like forever and when it finally came our turn, the flash didn’t go off, so when we got the pictures back, there was a big shadow behind us. So in the end, with my dress, the hair & make-up, the limo I spent mega bucks and I haven’t nothing to really remember how beautiful I felt.
So kids, what lesson can be learned from my experience? Have a professional take your photos! I would love for you to put on that dress, rock it out and have fun with me and my camera. Allow me to capture the real you looking your finest!
Such a fun idea!! 🙂
