Stacy & Tom, Happily Ever After

It had been 20 years since they last got professional photos taken of each other, since their wedding day. I was given the honor of photographing their love with my camera.

They met when Stacy was a senior in high school and Tom was in college. A good foot taller than her, she thought he was handsome and kind. As their friendship deepened, he asked her out, they quickly fell in love and the rest is history. Twenty years later, they are happily married and have three boys. But from how cuddly they were, I felt like I was doing an engagement session.

I had no problem getting this couple to kiss, hug or display their love while in front of the camera. Tom said, that if he knew how much he was going to be able to kiss his wife, he would of done the session a lot sooner. I admire this couple for how loving they are towards each other. As their three boys played in the background, they did not shy away from affection. They oozed with it. They told me that this is how they normally are in front of their kids. I thought what a good example that is, to be super affectionate, to express how much mommy & daddy love each other. You can only imagine what good husbands the boys will become one day .

Stacy & Tom, I wish you another twenty years of happiness.

I’m so glad Stacy & Tom decided to do this! I love your work Amber and it brings me even more joy admiring them when I know the couple first hand. You did an amazing job capturing their love. 🙂

Love them! Especially the first image under the big tree! It’s inspiring to see the “other” side of love and marriage… the kind that takes you down the road way after the “honeymoon phase” has long since passed, and to see that a couple can still be so amazingly happy and in love as — if not more than — their wedding day. Great job!
